The End of the Tunnel

Hello again,

I thought I would update you with what is happening here at H.S. Pardon the lengthiness of my rambling. Hey, it's a blog........right?  =)

As I shared in one of our first blogs, we've been a bit land locked as far as ACTUAL music production is concerned and have focused entirely on our ability to prepare and plan. Fortunately for all of us here in music land, we will tentatively be able to finalize our last few decisions next week and, God willing, move into the realm of full functionality.

Anyone who has ever worked, or even dabbled in the production side of the music industry knows that production and engineering is a vast, endless universe of countless choices regarding production tools and software. Many product options are good, solid choices that will enable even the most inexperienced producer with the ability to create impressive sounding tracks. While there are many 'right answers' that will successfully direct you from point A to point B regarding music creation, there is an overwhelming amount of poo poo out there that will do nothing more than deplete your bank account and leave you with a sub-par result. (anger.......)

Although I as the operator of H.S. have had an abundance of experience with performance and studio recording, full scale producing and song creation is somewhat uncharted territory for me and I actually found myself falling into the same traps and snares that most do when embarking on the adventure of song production. Fortunately, I've had the privilege of receiving quite a bit of direction and guidance from a gentleman in Nashville named David Browning. David and I have worked and performed together on a number of occasions since 2008 and we have remained in contact since.

Mr. Browning is a producer who has worked with quite a number of artists, many of which you would immediately recognize at first mention. David has more or less been my own personal Obi-Wan Kenobi when it came time to make some final decisions and Hope Studios would like to emphatically thank him for his time and patience in answering many, many questions. You can follow David on Twitter if you would like a barrage of entertaining tweets on a regular basis. Be prepared for numerous 2:00 a.m. tweets if you do follow him.  =D

At any rate, it's a bit long-winded but I thought it would be good to share that the rusty gears of progress are turning once again and it won't be long before we're churning out more hits than your ears can handle.  ;)

Until next time, thanks for your patience and interest.
